Reps: Badari Community expresses support for Rasaq Lawal, thanks Saraki

The people of Badari community in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara state have expressed their support for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Asa/ Ilorin West Federal Constituency.
The people of Badari at a crowded press conference held at the secretariat of Badari Ward Development Association, Alabiowo street, Oke Aluko, Ilorin, yesterday, described Lawal as an illustrious son of the area.
The president of the development association, Alh Abdullahi Lawal who read a prepared speech on behalf of the community was flanked by Alangua Badari, Alh Abdulquadir Saidu Badari, Magaji Ile Iya Oba, Alh Adebayo Jimoh and secretary of the association, Alh Saadu Nasirudeen Aluko.
The association’s president thanked the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Kwara state Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari for the positive roles they played in ensuring the emergence of Rasaq Lawal as the PDP’s House of Representatives candidate for Asa/Ilorin West constituency.
He said they were extremely happy about the development as no indigene of the area had been lucky to get such opportunity in the past.
He expressed confidence in the ability of Lawal to offer not only the people of Badari or Magaji Garin, but the entire Asa/Ilorin constituency quality representation at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
He recalled that Rasaq Lawal had served as the vice chairman of Ilorin West local government between 1994 and 1996, Special Adviser( Legislative Matters) between July 1999 and March 2001and commissioner for Special Duties between March 2001 and May 2003; representing Ilorin West.
