Fulfill political promises, cleric tasks leaders

The imam of Sultanate Mosque, Adewole.Ilorin, Ustaz Sultan Kamaldeen has charged all the government and political offices holders to govern the people under them with fear of Allah.
The Imam, who said this at the Jumaat service sermon on Friday said that Allah will ask them to give account on how they rule over the people they governed.
Kamaludeen tasked them to fulfil all the promises they made while looking for the post and provide necessary need of the people adding that they should not neglect their people after gaining power.
He also charged the people to shun violence, adding that destroying property and killing one another for the sake of election is detrimental to societal development.
Kamaldeen added that ,anyone who kill his or her fellow human being will face the wrath of Almighty Allah.
He urged the youth to see themselves as one, no matter the party they might belong and they not see themselves as enemy or allow politics to divide them.
Kamaludeen urged muslims to be prayerful and shun sins while searching for any position.
“Some people in looking for worldly position will go against Allah engaging in what Allah prohibited.”
He added that Muslims should observe their solat and always seek for forgiveness from their creator.
