Kwara: INEC commences display of voters’ register, PVC collection, tomorrow

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will display voters’ register in all the 1,872 polling units in Kwara between 6 and 12 of November, 2018 even as it said the collection of permanent voter’s cards (PVC) will be carried out simultaneously.

Jacob Ayanda, Head, Voter Education and Publicity of the state chapter of INEC made the disclosure in a statement forwarded to National Pilot in Ilorin.

The exercise is to weed the register of deceased, Non-Nigerians did under-aged voters etc.

This is an opportunity to keep our register credible and be armed with our PVC, as we prepare for the 2019 General Elections.

So, avail yourself this opportunity. Note that Saturday and Sunday is inclusive

He said the display would enable prospective voters to make claims and objections on the information about them as they have been recorded by the commission and weed the register of deceased, Non-Nigerians and under-aged voters among others.

“In addition, all those having claims and objections are to meet INEC officials at their wards headquarters at the same period.

“Meanwhile, collection of permanent voter’s cards (PVC) will be carried out simultaneously.

The exercise is to weed the register of deceased, Non-Nigerians, under-aged voters etc.

“This is an opportunity to keep our register credible and be armed with our PVC, as we prepare for the 2019 General Elections.

“So, avail yourself this opportunity. Note that Saturday and Sunday is inclusive”, the statement added.
