Ex-Kwara cabinet members, Fulanis endorse Atunwa

The Kwara State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2019 governorship election, Hon Razak Atunwa has met with former cabinet members in Kwara with a view to form partnership and way forward to further develop the state.
Atunwa while addressing the ex cabinet members on Tuesday in his GRA residence commended their immense contribution towards ensuring good governance in Kwara State.
According to him, “I am glad we are seating here together for the first time since my emergence as the party’s flag bearer to have a dialogue on best way forward to further develop our state.
“I am glad to see faces we used to work in government together, I have a close relationship with everyone here, I could remember how hardworking we worked together to ensure dividends of democracy to our People” he added.
Speaking during the occasion, Hon Olayiwola from Moro local government said Atunwa have both the executive and legislative experiences and all it takes to move the state forward and promised that they will support his journey to the Kwara State Government House come 2019.
He was further urged to do more in carrying women along in the process and activities of governance if elected with a promise to support him all the way.
The former cabinet members cut across the sixteen local governments in the state.
Meanwhile, the Nomadic Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, Kwara south chapter, have pledged their unflinchingly support for Hon Razak Atunwa as the next Governor of Kwara State.
The Chairman of the association, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar said their purpose of meeting him is to endorse and bless his candidacy as the next Governor of Kwara State.
Umar specifically stated that they have done their findings about Atunwa on his track record since his days as commissioners and the Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly and “we are of the belief that he has the potential to further develop our state”.
In his address, Atunwa extolled them for their loyalty and support and promised to work in partnership with them as his government will not discriminate.
