Ilorin airport commences beautification project
Towards enhancing asthetics, the management of the Ilorin International Airport has begun installation of streetlights and planting of flowers.
Also, there is ongoing repairs of worn out equipment and repairs of damaged ones as well as painting of reservoirs.
Pilot Aviation observed that a new baggage equipment has been constructed at the arrival and departure halls of the terminal building.
In addition, the stands of commercial airlines have been reorganised and equipped with new facilities.
Speaking on the development, the airport Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul-Azeez, said the massive renovation is mainly to beautify and transform the airport to modern standard.
“We are going to continue with the project with other phases such as landscaping and planting of more flowers among others,” he added.
Abdul-Azeez then called on stakeholders in Kwara State to support the airport to ensure safety of flight operations as a means of expanding business activities in the state.
