Shun malice with your wives, cleric admonished Muslim men

The Imam of Agaka mosque, Asa Dam, Ilorin, Yusuf Olopoewa has urged Muslim men to desist from keeping malice with their wives.

Olopoewa, who gave the charge in his sermon during the jumat service last Friday, also warned Muslim  husbands from exposing secret of their wives to others.

“Husband should not expose his wife’s secret to the world. No matter what might have hapened between them, he shouldn’t go to that extent. “

The cleric also cautioned men against domestic violence or psychological assault against their spouses.

“He should not beat his wife or abuse her, she will get hurt if insulted or belittled, wife feels good when respected and make the home habitable.

He urged Muslim men to take care of their wives and family, adding that they have been   guardian over their family. 

He stressed that men have been endowed with special qualities by the order of creation and have stronger logical power than women.

He noted that women are emotional and their existence depends on compassion, adding that men must show total love and care for them.

He further stressed that the secret of a successful man in a happy marital life is his expression of love towards his wife.

He also charged Muslim wives to ensure that they care for their husbands and follow the dictates of their spouses, which are in line with Islamic injunction. .

“Any wife that goes against her husband’s wish will face the wrath of Allah. All the creation of Allah will curse her.”
