…as 3 inmates gets financial support

The General Overseer of Peculiar Gospel Outreach Ministry (P.G.O.M) Pastor Joseph Oyeyemi Babatunde has called on the Federal Government to place more priority on their support to the less privileged in the country.
Speaking with newsmen during a visits to the Leprosy Centre, Prisoners and hospitals in Omu-Aran in commemoration of the ministry’s 10th year Convention and Crusade, the cleric emphasised that the best way to preach the gospel is to show compassion to the needy.
“The idea behind all what we have done today; the visit to the leprosy centre and prison and the hospitals is just to show the love of Christ because if you look at the life of Jesus, he was compassionate.
“We will not say we are not aware that the government has lots of responsibilities but the financial resources available is limited. However, within the limited resources, I will plead with government at all levels to as much as possible give priority attention to the less privileged such as the lepers, those in prisons, and those in need,” he said.
Meanwhile Babatunde has disclosed that two of inmates who were to pay certain fine before their release will be funded by the Church in order to regain their freedom. He added that one of them will be repatriated to his state of origin after his release.
“You see that is why it is good to praise God. We didn’t know this will happen but those inmates are getting the support because they praised God while in custody. Hopefully after the payment must have been made, they will regain their freedom on Monday. The third inmate will be set free next week and when it was brought to my notice that he just needed a little fund to help him get back to his base, we decided to seize the opportunity.”
On the 2019 general elections, the cleric said, “My advice to the electorate is that we should all come out en mass to elect our leaders. Leadership is very important, if we all leave it carelessly and allow the wrong people to get into power, it means in another four years, the nation will be in bondage, so it is better we come out and vote.”
The 10th anniversary is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Tuesday) at Imode along Iloffa-Erinmope road, Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Among ministers expected at the event are; Apostle Dr. Ralph Olufemi Olowo, Pastor Israel Akinsanya and other anointed men of God.
