2019: APC doesn’t have interest of Kwarans – Saraki

Senate President and national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Saturday in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, condemned the leadership of the ruling Progressives Party (APC) even as he said the party does not have the interests of Kwarans in its agenda next year.
The Senate President made this known during a meeting with Kwara youths from across the sixteen local governments in the state who pleaded with him to assist on the issue of empowerment.
According to Saraki, the APC as a party does not have the interest of Kwara and Kwarans in its agenda adding that the government of PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will return the state and Nigeria to the path of development where the youths will be empowered in large numbers.
He said “Ever since I left the party (APC) as your representative at the National level, who among those calling themselves APC members in Kwara today have been included in any national affairs of APC? Instead of being included, they have programmed them to take orders from Lagos, but I tell them Kwara will never be subject under any state as long as I live.
“If you ask those following them what they have benefited aside fighting Saraki, nothing tangible will they be able to point at. Is that a party that Nigerians need at the moment”, Dr Saraki queried.
The National leader of PDP also used the medium to reassure local government workers and ex councillors that their salary arrears will soon be cleared.
Meanwhile, the national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senate president, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has put smiles on the faces of the people of Ojuekun/Sarumi ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara state as he donated a solar motorized borehole to the community.
The donation of the solar motorized borehole followed a request by hundreds of former members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ilorin West and East that decamped to the PDP.
Saraki also donated 30 poles of solar streetlight to the area to improve security of lives and property.
