Tope Alabi, other gospel artistes perform at C & S ‘6 hours of praise’

Renowned gospel musician, Tope Alabi was the lead guest artiste who performed at the ‘6 Hours of Praise’ of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin district headquarters, Kwara State, Sunday.
The programme, organised by the Oluwole Foundation, the brainchild of tpaehe Chief Executive Officer of Tuyil Pharmaceutical Company, Senior Apostle Oluwole Awotuyi, is an annual thanksgiving service.
The church holds its annual thanksgiving service on the first Sunday of every year, with this year’s theme as, ” Who is like unto thee (Exodus 15:11).
Other artistes that led the congregation in praising God at the event were Apala maestro, Israel Apana and his Gospel Band, Lady Evangelist Olorunfemi and Harmony Brass Band.
There were also music rendition from Awareness Singers and the choir of the host church, Seraphim Singers, at the well attended programme.
Speaking on the sideline of the event in an interview with newsmen, the Conference Supervisory Pastor of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Pastor Moses Ademola Popoola, said the programme is scriptural.
According to the him, the thanksgiving service is in adherence to the teachings in the scripture, which says believers should give thanks at all times.
“The scripture says we should praise God at all times. The six hours of praise is to God; appreciating Him for His goodness and the marvelous things he has done in our lives.
The cleric who is also Chairman, Oluwole Foundation, stressed that the thanksgiving service is a good way to start the year for members of the congregation, expressing hope that 2019 will be a better year.
In his sermon at the thanksgiving service, Pastor Olaolu Adeyemo reminded Christians of the importance of living in holiness.
He pointed out that holiness is the pillar of God’s glory, adding that sin hinders believers from abiding in God’s presence.
