The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board said arrangements have been concluded for Biometric data capturing for all the 2,200 intending Pilgrims from the state for the 2019 Hajj.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Mohammed Tunde-Jimoh, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in llorin, yesterday.

Tunde-Jimoh said the capturing would begin with 1,127 of the intending pilgrims who had obtained application forms and made a deposit payment to the Board.

He said the first set of pilgrims to be captured was selected out of the 2,200 allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

According to him, the exercise will begin as soon as the Board gets clearance from NAHCON.

He said the data capturing of intending Pilgrims was in line with directives from the Saudi Arabian authorities and NAHCON.

Tunde-Jimoh advised the intending pilgrims to monitor calls and text messages on their phones for information on the exercise.

He advised Muslims aspiring to perform the 2019 Hajj to hurry and get their application forms from the Board in llorin between now and the end of February.

The executive secretary further advised those that have obtained the application forms to deposit between N1 million and N1.3 million as there were limited seats and the board would not process the applications of intending pilgrims who failed to make any payments.
