Forum prays for Kwara PDP’s victory

Owode Onire Youth Forum in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has organised a special prayer for the success of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
The prayer session, which was held at Apala Central mosque, was attended by eminent personalities and political big wigs in the state.
The Chief Imam Alapa, Imam Ambali Abass and his counterpart from Baala community, Alfa Saheed Issa Imam led the prayer session.
They prayed for the victory of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, PDP gubernatorial candidate in Kwara State, Hon Razaq Atunwa, Federal House of Representatives candidate for Asa/Ilorin West Constituency, Alhaji Razaq Lawal and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The clerics particularly prayed for peace and stability of the state and Nigeria at large before, during and after the polls.
In his remarks, former commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Engr. Musa Yeketi, urged the people to be wary of antics of opposition parties who have nothing to offer the state.
He advised the electorate to vote wisely for all PDP candidates, adding that PDP was fully prepared for the polls because it has structure on ground.
Yeketi called on youths not to allow themselves to be used as agents of destruction before, during and after the poll.
While commending the youth for organising the prayer, he stressed the need for all Kwarans to embark on fervent prayer as a potent tool for political unrest.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the prayer, the Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Anafi Janbudo, said the forum resorted to prayer having realised the efficacy of prayer, especially at a critical time like this.
He assured that Owode Onire would deliver 100 per cent votes for PDP candidates owing to the fact that the party’s governorship candidate hails from the constituency.
He added that opposition parties were only making empty threat as they are not on ground.
The youth leader warned youths against political violence and other acts that could disrupt electoral process.
