Bolaji Abdullahi tasks civil servants on dedication to work

 

A former Minister of Sports and Youth Development in Nigeria, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has admonished civil servants in Kwara state and other states of the federation to be truthful, hardworking and loyal to the system in order to move the country forward.
Mallam Abdullahi gave the admonition at a parley organised to celebrate Dr Salihu Sebutu, who recently retired from the state civil service on Saturday.
Abdullahi said if the country is going to move forward, all hands must be on deck and Nigeria workers must ensure they use their precious time to contribute their own quota to the advancement of the Nigeria project.
He opined that not the hours spent in the working places that matter but how productive they were.
The former commissioner, however, praised Sebutu for his dedication and hard work when he was in active service.
While thanking Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi for the gesture, Sebutu applauded him for the legacy he laid when he was the commissioner for Education in Kwara state.
Sebutu, who said he was very happy working with him beseech God to always guide and guard the former Nigeria Sports minister to the right path.
Dignitaries that graced the event were the Acting Station Manager of Unilorin FM, Alhaji Idris Alooma; the former NLC/NUT Chairman in Kwara state, Alhaji Faruq Akanbi; former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Prince Sulaiman Fagbemi; former executive Secretary of Kwara State Town Planning, Alhaji Amuda Alabi; former Chief Press Secretary to former Governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Mashood Adebimbe, SA to the governor, Engr Asanloko, among others.
