Elections: Christians advised to elect God fearing leaders

As the general elections draw near, Christians have been advised to make the right choice towards taking the country to higher pedestal.
A cleric, Prophet Peter Oladipo of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church; Ipetu-Igbomina, Kwara State gave the advise in his sermon delivered in the church yesterday.
He emphasised the need for Nigerians to look unto God to elect God fearing leaders for the nation in the coming elections as all power belong to Him alone.
Similarly, Christians have been charged to be peaceful in their conduct and pray for the success of the forthcoming general elections.
A Cleric, Prophet Mubo Adewuyi gave the charge on Sunday in his sermon delivered at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters.
He, however, called on Christians to look unto God for the salvation of their souls.
Speaking on the Topic “Old things”, Prophet Adewuyi urged Christians to worship God faithfully as done in the past by the prophets and the people of God.
The cleric noted that old things had passed away, adding that God had made all things new for the benefit and salvation of all mankind.
On his part, Pastor Segun James of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole, Amoyo called on Christians to pray for a hitch free polls.
In his message, yesterday he noted that with prayer, peace would reign in the country.
Meanwhile, a cleric has stressed the essence of time management, saying that time waits for no one.
Pastor Isaac Gbemiga Adesina of Kingdom Seed Assembly, Sapati-Ile phase two, Ilorin in his sermon yesterday, advised Nigerians to be productive.
Pastor Taiye Aransiola of two United Evangelical Miracle Church Off Yidi Road, Ilorin in his message titled “What is most important,” called on the people to be of good character and give priority attention to things that are important such as the Kingdom of God and their families.
Speaking at the ongoing 14 days revival with the theme “Jehovah Rapha”, Prophet Peter Kolawole Williams of the C. A. C. Faith Chapel, along Asa Dam road, Ilorin, urged Christians to put their faith in God as the only solution to their problems.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo warned Christians against sin, which he noted could cause separation between them and their creator.
Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin urged Christians to continue to extend hands of friendship to their neighbours regardless of their religion affiliations for peace to reign in the society.
Also in his message with the theme “Prayer is the master key’, Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C. A. C . Anu sogo lorimi, Kilanko village, Ilorin called on the people to pray for the success of the general elections which begins this week, stressing that with God all things are possible.
