The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, Boniface Okoloho, has been killed.
He was said to have been ambushed and shot dead by unknown gunmen on his way home, Saturday night.
The spokesman of the police command, Moses Yamu on Sunday said “I can confirm the APC chairman in the area was killed. He was killed by unknown gunmen in the night, yesterday.”
He stressed that the police have commenced investigation to unravel circumstances surrounding the sad incident and are also on the hunt for the suspects behind it.
The incident happened the day the presidential and national elections were scheduled to hold.
The elections have since been shifted by a week.
