Herdsman murders man over illicit affair with wife

A 25-year-old herdsman, Fada Manu of Kusogi in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State has been arrested for the murder of one Usman Hassan.
Manu was said to have killed Hassan, whom he suspected was having illicit affair with his wife, Muina, penultimate Wednesday.
It was learnt that Usman of Fulani bush camp, Kusogi Village Via Shonga, left his home to graze his cows on the fateful day and never returned.
Pilot Crime learnt that the deceased’s family became worried when in the evening the cows came home to roost, but their handler was nowhere to be seen and all efforts to trace him proved abortive.
A Police source who spoke to this medium on the matter revealed that the mutilated body of Usman buried in a shallow grave at a river bank, in the area, was discovered the following day, during a search.
“The case was reported by father of the deceased, Hassan Garba at the Divisional Police headquarters, Lafiagi that his son had been killed.
“The case was later transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department at the Police headquarters in Ilorin.
“Investigation by the operatives led to the arrest of the suspect in connection with the killing. Usman later confessed that he murdered the deceased because of the suspicion that he was having amorous affair with his wife.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi denied knowledge of the issue.
