Kwara APC Gives Tinubu 2 Commissioner slots, Lai Mohammed Gets Chief of Staff, 2 SAs

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, has commenced the distribution of appointments, in anticipation of its winning the March 9 governorship election in the state.

The party’s leadership which appears to be in a hurry to form government at the state level has commenced allocating commissioner, special advisers and chief of staff slots to their godfathers, both within and outside the state.

A source close to the party’s leadership hinted that two commissioner slots have been allocated to the Lagos politician, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

“The juicy portfolios of Finance and Works have been reserved for Asiwaju Tinubu’s prospective commissioner nominees,” the source stated.

Also, the plum portfolio of the chief of staff has been reserved for the son of the minister of Information, Alh Lai Mohammed. Mohammed junior, a former member of Lagos state House of Assembly lost out in the House of Representatives primaries in Lagos.

“Besides, two special advisers slot, included the political portfolio have been reserved for Alh Lai Mohammed, ” the source added.

Consequently, the people of Kwara state may be in for a serious problem should APC emerge victorious in the coming governorship election in the state.

The above scenario shows that the real Kwara indigenes in APC will only play second fiddle in the running of the state affairs.
