The Imam of Sultanat Mosque, Adewole, Ustaz Saltan Kamaldeen has advised Muslims not to chase worldly things over the hereafter.

He further said that everything God gave to Muslims in term of money, knowledge and positions should be used to worship Allah by deploying them to help others and for the development of Islam rather than oppress or maltreat others.

Kamaldeen stated this during his sermon (Khutba) at the Jama’at service on Friday before the two congregational units of prayer adding that Allah has the power to strip anybody of favours bestowed on His servants.

According to him, anything Allah(SWT) gives to any of His slaves should not be misused as such privileges have been bestowed on others before but withdrawn because of abuse.

He also charged Muslims to follow the will of Allah stressing in any situation they find themselves in order to be successful.

“Anybody that follows the will of God according to his instruction is worshiping him.

“Every of our actions is worship. Our Solat, slaughtering during Eids, fasting in the month of Ramadan, performing Hajj among others with pure intention are acts of worship and will be rewarded accordingly by Allah(SWT).

He said Muslims should fear Allah in whatever they do and be steadfast in time of adversity with fasting and prayer

“Everything we do without the fear of Allah is nothing. Even if you are praying without the fear of Allah the prayer will not be accepted.

“If Allah makes way for somebody, nobody can close it and if He closes a path for anyone, nobody can say otherwise.

“Always ask Allah for help and depend on Him, not human being. Nobody can benefit or harm you unless it has been destined”, he added

He called on Muslims to request for their needs from Allah, adding that He alone has the power to give and take back.
