 Trust in God always, Christians urged

 

Christians have again been charged to have strong faith in God and believe in His power to fulfil all promises.

A Cleric, Prophet Segun Korode gave the charge yesterday in his sermon delivered at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters.

Speaking on the topic, “Power of Godliness”, Prophet Korode called on Christians to be ready to sacrifice their time and resources for the propagation of the gospel.

The Cleric implored Nigerians especially parents to take proper care of their children who are future leaders of the nation.

He advised Christians to worship only the living God and have strong faith in Jesus Christ.

Similarly, Christians have been charged to make Jesus Christ the corner stone of their life.

A Cleric, Pastor Segun James of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole,  Amoyo, who gave the charge in his sermon, urged them to look unto God for divine intervention and salvation of their souls.

Also, Pastor Isaac Gbemiga Adesina of the Kingdom Seed Assembly, Sapati-Ile Phase 2, Ilorin reminded Christians of the importance of fasting and prayer, describing it as a way to move closer to God in order to receive answer to their requests.

Pastor Adesina urged them to shun sin and strive to live a holy and acceptable life that pleases God.

He said fasting and prayer points to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and also prepare believers for His second coming.

Speaking on the Theme: “The Law of Timing”, Reverend Joseph Agboluaje of Second ECWA Shao, stressed the need for the people to recognise God’s timing in their life and make use of it appropriately for the good of common man in the society.

Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church, Off Yidi Road, Ilorin, in his message titled, “Living for what is important,”  challenged Nigerians  to live their life for what is important and  invest thear time, energy and resources in what really matters in time and eternity.

Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry,  Amoyo, urged Christians to flee from sin to enable God answer their prayer, stressing that  no sinner can see the kingdom of God.

Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, lpetu-lgbomina appealed to Nigerians to love their neighbours to sustain an egalitrian society that would bring about more development.

Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin called on Christian faithful to get more knowledge about  the things of God and worship Him wholeheartedly.

Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C A C Anusogo lorimi, Kilanko village, Ilorin  emphasised the need for Christians to remain focused and do away with worldliness as it could weaken their commitment and integrity in winning souls for Jesus Christ.
