NANTA vow to stamp out activities of quacks in Kwara

Ahead of Umrah and Hajj pilgrimage, the National Association of Air Travel Agencies (NANTA), Kwara and Ogbomosho branch has vowed to eliminate fake travel agents that have constituted nuisance in the sector.
Speaking to Pilot Aviation shortly after a seminar held in Ilorin on Thursday, the Coordinator of the association, Comrade James Abiodun Olawole stressed that the purpose of the event is to identify members who are serious in order to safeguard the association from fraudsters.
He said, ” Several travellers have fallen victims of these miscreants and this has given a negative perception of the association in the state.
” Our reformation will assist in curbing their activities to minimum level because we cannot totally eliminate them, but we are calling on the travellers for tourism, scholarship, medical trip and religious obligations to patronise only registered agencies.
According to him, more than 40 percent of intending Nigerian travellers fall victim of unregistered and fraudulent travel agents.
He said, ” wW are notifying travellers that registered members are Zain travels and tour, Al Abrar travels, Sunset birds travels, Toscar travel, Awahrahm travels, Amidat travels, Midrah travels, Al Waseelat travels.
Others are AL-Haqq travels, Bellamat Gold travels, Lutfu asamadany travels, Al Toyyibah travels, Al qamariyah cargo and travels, Abu Jabir general merchant, we fly travel and tours, file2flyway, and Aero market travel and tours.
