Kwara United football club of Ilorin again missed on a glorious chance of moving ahead of the log in Group A of the Nigeria Professional Football League having settled for a disappointing barren draw against Insurance of Benin yesterday in Ilorin.
The harmony boys were expected to win against the team from Benin city at the Kwara State stadium complex and hoped that it would boost their continental chances.
Having lost their last two matches, coach Bala boys were expected to rekindle their chances but failed to meet up to expectation.
The harmony boys failed in their own part as they missed lots of scoring chances toward the tail end of the game.
The inclusion of Tijani Adamu and Alamoyo Rasaq at the second half of the match solidifies the home team as they dominated the last part of the match, but failed to convert their chances.
However, Kwara united coach, Bala Abubakar is still confident of making the top three finish.
“What thwarted our emergence at the top initially was the game we lost against Rangers at home but there is still hope for if we are able to hold on to our next two games.”
