Man nabbed for stealing phone

A 28- year- old man, Samuel Oluwaseun has been arrested for stealing a mobile phone valued at N30,000 in Ilorin, Kwara State, recently.
The suspect was said to have been arrested after he was allegedly discovered to have stolen a Samsung phone J7 belonging to a man simply identified as Baki.
According to a police source, the case was reported at the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) at the police headquarters by the owner of the phone.
” Baku reported that sometime in March, this year, his phone with the International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number 35295070690843/01 worth 30,000 naira, was stolen.
“The phone was tracked by the police, which led to the arrest of the suspect. During interrogation, ,the suspect confessed to the crime. He confessed to be notorious in the stealing phones.
” Investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest members of his syndicate and the collectors of the syolen items,” the source added.
Efforts to contact, the Kwara State Police Spokesperson DSP Ajayi Okasanmi on the development, proved abortive as calls did not connect and text messages didn’t delivered at the time of filing this report.
