The President of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, Otunba Tade Azeez has assured clubs involved that the watchword of match officials to provide good officiating at all times remains sacrosanct.
Tade disclosed that despite the challenges faced by the referees arising from threats, intimidation and assaults at match venues especially from home teams and supporters are pedestrian distractions that can’t stop his members from being free, fair and firm in their conducts stating that the arbiters have once again be instructed to sustain the tempo in today’s encounters with first class performances.
The NRA president therefore employed clubs and their officials to desist from acts that are inimical to the growth of the domestic league.
Otunba Tade Azeez reiterated the earlier position of the association to keep away from grounds where referees are maltreated in the course of discharging his or her duties accurately.
