Again, Saraki facilitates empowerment, training for 450 youths

As part of the ongoing implementation of the 2018 financial year budget of the Federal Government, President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has facilitated another skill acquisition training and empowerment programme to Kwara Central senatorial district with the Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI).
The three-day intensive training and empowerment programme for 450 participants was borne out of the desire of the Senate President to get youths empowered with self sustainable skills and training that will rob off positively on the state.
Some of the selected skills include coding technology, ICT (Networking) programme, catering, make-up, shoes and bags making, fashion designing, barbing, photography and cinematography, painting and paint making and event planning and head tie making .
As part of the scope of the skill training programme, empowerment items were provided and distributed to the first three groups of participants.
The programmes which will continue today (Thursday) will feature the other skills for mentorship, interaction and distribution of empowerment items.
Speaking on the programme, the Director of Projects and Empowerment, ABC Constituency Office, Otukoko Olayinka Ibrahim called on the participants to appreciate the sustainable nature of the training and empowerment programme and requested its continuation as it has potential to reduce unemployment among the youths in the state.
