Gov Ahmed dissolves cabinet

…wish commissioners, aides well in future endeavour

With less than one week to the end of the administration, Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has dissolved the State Executive Council.
According to a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday and signed by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmed, Mr. Demola Olanrewaju, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and members of boards of parastatals were also affected by the dissolution.
The statement quoted Governor Ahmed as thanking members of the dissolved state executive council, his former aides and all other political office holders for their invaluable service to his administration and the people of Kwara State.
Governor Ahmed also wished the former commissioners and aides all the best in their future endeavors.
Investigation by National Pilot has revealed that most of the affected officials had already prepared their handover noted few weeks back and moved their personal belongings from their office in anticipation of the dissolution.
The dissolution of the cabinet is coming barely a week to the completion of the 8 years tenure of the governor who was sworn-in on May 29, 2011 taking over from former Governor Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
The incoming-governor, AbdulRazaq AbdurRahman would be inaugurated on Wednesday next week in a low key event in preparation for the elaborate ceremony on June 12 which has just being approved as the democracy day by the executive and legislature.
