Encourage early marriage to curb unlawful sexual intercourse among youth, govt urged

To curb adultery, fornication among the Muslims ladies which is forbidden in the sight of Allah, the Chief Imam of Atau Manal Jumat mosque, Osin-Aremu, Ilorin, Ustaz Muhibudeen Jamiu has charged the government to encourage early marriage among young girls in the country to avoid immoral acts in the society.
He said that’s the only way government can help in controlling Zina in the society.
Jamiu stated this in a Ramadan lecture organised by Jamuiyyat Lateef Society of Nigeria (JAMLAT) tagged “ZINA: Causes and Damages to the Islamic World” held on Sunday at Pakata Development Association Hall, opposite Ita-Nma Cottage Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.
He stressed that the act of Zina has destroyed the society as female and male of nowadays have sunk themselves into all forms of immorality which is at variance with the injunctions of Allah (SWT).
Jamiu reminded government, people in authority and stakeholders of their responsibility in ensuring that Islamic culture of decent dressing as it was state in the Holy Qur’an 33:59.
According to him, zina has cause irreversible damage and loss of lives to the citizens through diseases and other health related challenges.
“Many have killed themselves while trying to abort pregnancy gotten through adultery. This is so rampant especially among the girls. Some abortions led to sterilisation and barreness for the females.
According to him, some of the ways of preventing Zina in Islam include implementation of the Islamic Sharia and “to encourage early marriage and keep supporting the couple to further their education as the Prophet (SAW) was reported to have encouraged boys and girls to get married if they are capable.
The chairman of the association, Alhaji Isiak Abdullahi said the programme was organised to sensitise and sanitise the youth during Ramadan adding that Islam and Islamic groups have been at the receiving end of widespread zina.
