Christians urged to pray for political leaders

Region four headquarters, Sabo-Oke, Ilorin, Pastor Akintunde Abdullahi
has charged the people to always pray for those in leadership
positions to succeed in the task of repositioning the state and the
nation.
He gave the charge during a special programme tagged ‘Red Letter Day’
held on Saturday at the church auditorium.
The cleric also urged political leaders to pay priority attention to
welfare of the citizens and fulfil their campaign promises to better
the lot of the masses.
In his remarks at the event, the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi
called on the people of the state to cooperate and work together with
the present administration in the task of lifting and developing the
State.
Alabi noted that the state could only progress with the support and
prayer of the people.
The Deputy Governor implored the people to embrace peace and love one
another to overcome all challenges.
He restated the desire and determination of the State Government to
work assidiously for the progress and development of the State.
Alabi described the State Governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq as a
person that love peace and accommodating and ready to uplift the State
in all ramifications.
The Deputy Governor explained that the present administration would
not deprived the people of their rights and entitlements.
Special prayer was later offered for the state government.
