4 remanded over alleged murder in Ilorin

The Magistrate court sitting in Ilorin the Kwara State capital on Monday remanded one Kamorudeen Suleiman aka Aiyeniromo, Taofik Sheu (aka Eleru), Rafiu Ibrahim aka Abike and Ajape Abiola Akeem (aka No Case) over alleged murder of one Isiaka Sikiru.
The police First Information Report (FIR) revealed that the case was transferred from Police Divisional Headquarters Otte Kwara State to Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID) for discreet investigation.
The FIR revealed that Ibrahim invited Sikiru who was with his wife, Rashidat Sikiru to an unknown place to settle a dispute between them.
It further revealed that not quite long Rashidat (Sikiru’s wife) recieved an information that her husband has been attacked by a group of people. On getting to the scene, she met her husband in the pool of his blood and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Investigation at the CIID led to the arrest of Otte, Kwara State who were allegedly involved in the crime.
Further Investigation revealed that the prime suspect Suleiman confessed that he is a member of the Winning Base Club and conspired with the others to commit the crime.
They were dragged before Magistrate Mercy Adebola for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide contrary to section 97and 221of penal code.
The Prosecutor, Adebayo Thomas prayed the court to remand the defendants in prison custody as investigation is still ongoing over the matter.
In his rulling, Adebola remanded the defendants in prison custody while the case was adjourned to 24th July, 2019.
