Kwara traditional rulers felicitate with faithful
As Muslim faithfuls all over the world celebrate eid-fitri today which mark the end of Ramadan, they have been advised to imbibe the teachings of the period in their endeavours.
A cross-section of traditional rulers in Kwara State made this known in their Sallah message to the people of the State.
According to the Emir of Shonga in Edu Local Government Area of the State, Alhaji Ndanusa Haliru Yahaya, the month of Ramadan was ordained by Allah for every muslim to observe.
Yahaya urged them to stay away from acts that are against the period and reflect on the lesson learnt and not make it merry making event.
In his submission, the Chairman, Ekiti Traditional Council and Olosi of Osi, Oba Saliu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe Arowobeku called on wealthy people to assist the needy in the society for them to have sense of belonging with their counterparts at sustainning their livelihood.
Also, the Chairman of Oke-Ero Traditional Council and the Aloffa of Iloffa, Oba Samuel Niyi Dada urged Nigerians no matter their religious background to be their brother’s keeper to ensure more development at sustaining an egalitrian society for the betterment of all and sundry.
The Oludofian of ldofian in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the State, Oba Zubaru Agboola Oyesoro spoke extensively on the need for the people to always give peace a chance and eschew acts of indiscipline that can hamper the developmental agenda of the new administration across the state while urging them to put in their best for the even growth of the nation.
In his view, the Oloyipo of Eggi Oyo-Ipo in Irepodun Local Government Area of the State, Oba Abdulwahab Adeoye Jinad called on leaders at all levels to continue to rule with the fear of God and lay good examples that would portray the society in good shape.
He appealed to Nigerians to cultivate the habit that would enhance the nation’s socio-economic activities for the benefit of the masses.
