Swing into action, ex-Presidential candidate tells Gov Abdulrazaq

The former Presidential Candidate of the Alliance National Party (ANP), Asiwaju Mashood Shittu has called on the Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to swing into action for the people to feel the impact of his victory.
Shittu made the call while congratulating the State Governor on Wednesday during a chat with this medium at the Ilorin International Airport.
According to him, the “change is indeed inevitable, and when it comes, it is pertinent we key into it, go in line with it, embrace and enjoy the good tidings that comes with it in good faith.
“A new set of leadership has emerged in Kwara, indeed today marks the beginning of the government that majority of Kwarans unrepentantly craved for, we are glad that this development is not accompanied with bloodshed and unrest. As a Kwaran, I am glad that I witnessed this day without any rumpus, this is indeed the manifestation of peoples’ will”, he added.
He also noted that “if our collective dream is to reposition Kwara, then there is need to collectively pursue our dream irrespective of our different political affiliations in the interest of our people.
Shittu, who is also the National Chairman of ANP, advised the new governor not to be carried away with the euphoria of his victory but swing into action and let the good result of his actions make the noise, adding that “we are well positioned to partner with the government of the day to take Kwara to greater heights.
He stressed the need for the new government to strive and provide dividends of democracy to be fairly enjoyed by all Kwarans at home and in the Diaspora.
