Kwara NUJ, MMPN congratulate new CPS, Ajakaye

 

The Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Kwara State chapter has congratulated Rafiu Ajakaye as the new Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The NUJ described the appointment as well deserved and necessary to facilitate information flow between the government and media practitioners in the state.
In a statement jointly signed at the weekend by Umar Abdulwahab and Dcn. Omotayo Ayanda, the Council Chairman and Secretary respectively, the Kwara NUJ said, “We have no doubt that Mr Ajakaye will perform well in his new area of assignment considering his track records as a thorough bread media professional.”
The Council however urged the new CPS to bring his experiences to bear in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities.
While congratulating Ajakaiye on his new appointment, the State Working Committee (SWC) assured him of the council’s support and cooperation to enable him succeed in his new assignment.
“We pray Allah to give him sound health, strength, wisdom and energy to discharge his duties.”
In a related development, the Muslim Media Practionals of Nigeria (MMPN), North Central zone and Kwara State chapter, also felicitated with Ajakaye over his recent appointment.
In a statement jointly signed yesterday by Mustafa Abubakar, the Coordinator, North Central and Alhaji Abdulrasaq Laaro, the Kwara State Coordinator, the MMPN said, “We have no doubt that you merited the position, as you have paid a huge price to thread this path before receiving recognition.”
The group further stated that the professional record of Ajakaiye will help the new administration to achieve its “Ise ya” agenda for the people of Kwara State.
The MMPN urged the new CPS to bring his religious upbringing as a transparent and believer in the service of Allah and humanity to bear in the discharge of his duties even as they assured him of continuous support and prayers.
