I rejected bank job for business – CEO, Leryour Footrock

The saying that some people have innate  talents hold sway for the Chief Executive Officer of Leryour Footrock, Mrs. Kumolu Oluwatosin Tomilayo.
She is a woman in a male dominated business world.
Kumolu is into manufacturing  of leather wares such as shoes, sandals, slippers, bags, belt and wallets, with large customer base.
Her staying power on the job are being original and  exceptional, with consequent record of success in the competitive market.
According to the enterprenuer, the burning passion to go into shoe making started while she was still in secondary school.
She was, however, able to realise her dream shortly after the completion of her compulsory one year national service, few years ago.
She said ” I have had the zeal right from my secondary days and I loved foot wears. I always want to stand out with what I wear on my legs.
“Growing up I realised that I was able to spend any amount when it comes to shoes. So I told my friends that I wanted to be a shoemaker and they laughed about it. I started learning the art during my undergraduate days, so when I graduated I ventured into the business even before service year,” she explained.
Kumolu said she was encouraged by her boss who stressed  that money is not everything in business but that getting the required experience is ultimate.
The female enterprenuer further said that she has never applied for a white collar job, but was recently offered banking job which she turned down.
“I turned down the banking job because it was time consuming and the salary is small when compared to proceeds from my business.”
On how the social media has helped her business she said: “I posted the pictures on Facebook with the caption,  ‘”Babes can be so dirty” and I think the caption actually became the source of attraction to many customers and celebrities even shared the post on their Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms.
The CEO, however, encouraged youths to acquire entrepreneurial skill that they can fall back on when the need arises.
