JAFAK Cup Final: All Stars tackles Abacha FC, Saturday

The final of the maiden edition of the JAFAK Cup will hold on Saturday at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
All Stars will confront Abacha FC in the final scheduled for 4pm while House of Prayer will take on Airforce FC in the Third Place match scheduled for 1:30 pm.
The winner of the tournament will be presented a giant trophy and cash prize of N100, 000 while the second position will be presented a trophy and N50 cash prize.
The winner of the Third Place match will go home with the sum of N25,000 which will be presented at the half time of the final just as the loser of the match will be given a consolation prize of N10,000.
Other categories of awards and prizes include; Golden Boot for the top scorer of the tournament and Golden Glove for the Best Goalkeeper.
The Most Valuable Player will be presented the Golden ball while there will be medals for the Fair Play Award, Fair Coach Award and Youngest Goalkeeper.
There will also be medals and commendation handshake for the tournament’s best XI.
On the top scorers log is Adama Isaiah (House of Prayer) and Yekini Samad (Airforce FC) with 5 goals each. They are closely followed with 4 goals by Kunle Olowokere (Golden Stars) and Aminu Kadiri (All Stars). The trio of Abayomi Ayobami (All Stars), Andrew Mathew (Excellency) and Ridwan (Rising Stars) are on three goals.
A total of 94 goals were scored in 30 matches – an average of three goals per match.
There will also be free medical checkup for residents of the state staring from 10am.
JAFAK Cup is organised by Coach Olanrewaju Olalekan and sponsored by Lanre Fakayode in honour of his late father, Prince Joseph Aranloye Fakayode.
Prince Fakayode who died at the age of 68 in 2015 was a former chairman of Kwara United FC, NFF match commissioner and recipient of Super Sports award. He was the sole sponsor of Amuedewe Youth Soccer Competition and the first non-native to emerge the Ilorin Emirate Football Association (IEFA) Chairman.
Among dignitaries expected to grace the final is the Technical Director of the Kwara Football Academy and ex-international, Sam Elijah and former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Amusa Adisa.
