Darts Federation to participate in National Youth Games, Sports Festival.

The Darts Federation has disclosed that it will be participating in
forthcoming national sports festivals in the country.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Vice President of the
Darts Federation, Alhaji Alabi Amuda and made available to Pilot
Sports, yesterday.
He said that the Federation will be involved in the National Youth
Games which will be hosted by University of Ilorin in September, as
well as, the National Sports Festival holding in Benin, Edo State,
early next year.
“The Talent Discovery Programme of the Federation is being boosted
with the inclusion of the Darts game in the Youth Games taking place
at the University of Ilorin in September and the National Sports
Festival, early next year,” he noted.
Amuda also disclosed that that the Federation is finalizing the maiden
edition of the National League competition among Darts Club in the
country.
“Towards this end, three committees have been approved. These are;
Technical, League Management and Marketing.”
The vice president further disclosed that the body had successfully
organised a combined training programme for coaches, referees and
secretaries and the National Open Tournament, sponsored by the Abia
State Government.
Amuda, A retired Permanent Secretary in Kwara State, however, called
on individuals and corporate bodies to support the development of
Darts game through sponsorship in cash and kind.
