Only Nigerians can fix our nation – Kwara Dep Gov

The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi has said only Nigerians
can fix and develop the nation to an enviable standard.
Alabi stated this yesterday while receiving members of the national
executives of Egbe Omo Ibile Igbomina in his office in Ilorin.
The Deputy Governor explained that with determination and commitment
on the part of Nigerians, the country would be the centre of
attraction across the globe economically and socially.
He said, “Only Nigerians can help to develop Nigeria and only Africans
can do same for the continent”.
He however called for mindset change among Nigerians to stem
corruption and injustice in the country.
The Deputy Governor promised that the present administration would
make the interest of the masses a priority adding that the government
would build and empower the people to boost its economy.
He charged the body to come up with developmental road map to
holistically ensure the progress of the areas and the state in
general.
Earlier, the National Chairman of Egbe Omo Ibile Igbomina, Engr
Timothy Adebayo rejoiced with the Governor and his deputy on their
victory and successful inauguration and prayed God for the success of
the present administration.
Engr. Adebayo noted that the 17-man executives had been working for
the progress, growth and peace of Igbomina land in all ramifications.
He highlighted some of the activities of the body which include the
establishment of a community radio calling on the government to
gainfully employ the youth to stem socio vices.
In a related development, the Kwara State Deputy Governor, Kayode
Alabi has charged Individuals and corporate organisations to come and
invest in the state in order to boost the economy.
Alabi, who made the call yesterday in his office while receiving
Airtel Regional Operations Director West, Femi Oshinlaja said
government would provide the enabling environment for business to
thrive in Kwara.
According to him, the state has enormous human and material resources
while calling on would-be investors to take the advantage to expand
their business.
He charged the communication giants to ensure the effective coverage
of the entire state.
Earlier, Airtel Regional Operations Director, Oshinlaja said the
company would launch its 4G network today in Ilorin and thanked the
state government for its support and encouragement.
Oshinlaja promised that the organisation would expand its coverage to
all the 16 local government areas of the state in due course.
