Cleric stresses importance of 5 daily prayers

The imam Nurudeen Mosque, Ogidi, Ilorin, Ustaz Ahmad Korede has tasked
Muslims not to joke with their five daily prayers, adding that Solat
increases faith in Almighty Allah (SWT) and strengthen the resolved to
Him.
Korede stressed this during his is sermon (Khutba) at the weekend
during the Juma’at service, adding that God told Prophet Muhammad
(SAW) to be mindful of the Glorious Qur’an and embark on regular
performance of Solat at stated times.
He further urged Muslims to be thankful to the Creator at all the
times and to have strong believe in Him that will reflect in our
statement and actions.
According to him, Muslims should embark on always telling the truth in
all what they do to be trustworthy among the people.
He said Almighty Allah commanded mankind to fear him, follow the
Qur’an and be truthful always.
He regretted that lies have taken over the lives of many Muslims
asking “so how do we survive?
He said prophet Muhammad (SAW) urged all Muslims to always stand on
the truth no matter the challenge because there is reward for it.
The imam stressed that members of public should always be mindful of
telling lies because it can lead them astray.
While harping on Solat, the cleric said that five daily prayers
teaches and encourage trust and truthfulness that will make Muslims to
avoid cheating on other people, fear Allah and also practice equality
among ourselves.
“When people give us things to keep, when it’s time for the person to
collect whatever item kept with us, we must return it the way it was
given.
Reading from the Holy Qur’an, the cleric said those who will enter
paradise are those who don’t cheat on people. “Everyone is praying for
paradise but the way to gain the ticket is to do away from cheating.”
He added.
