Kwara state Boxing Association will stage a two – day boxing
championship for all secondary schools in the state.
The event which will begin Friday in the Indoor Sports Hall of the
Kwara State Stadium complex.
A statement by the association disclosed that the championship is
aimed at fishing out talents and train them ahead the National Youth
Games scheduled for September at the University of Ilorin.
According to the state boxing coach Michael James, the championship is
also selected as one of the sporting events to mark one hundred days
celebration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in office among other
events lined up for the celebration as the date gets closer.
