Veteran journalist, Ehindero, for burial Saturday

The burial arrangement for veteran journalist, Elder Simeon Otitonaye
Ehindero will commence today (Thursday) with a wake keep at his Lokoja
residence.
His remains will thereafter be transported to his home town, Ayetoro
Gbedde in Ijumu Local Government area of Kogi State for final burial
on the 29th of June.
Pa Ehindero who was born on November 24 1939 died after a brief
illness on 1st April, 2019.
He was a passionate journalist and writer.
His journalism career started with the Observer before he moved to the
Tribune Newspaper and later the Vanguard. He finally joined the Herald
Newspaper as a reporter and rose to the position of News Editor before
the creation of Kogi State when he transferred his service to the
Graphics Newspaper.
He was later redeployed to Kogi State Ministry of Information as a
Deputy Director before his eventual retirement.
After his retirement, Ehindero started a community impact and religious service.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren including the
Lead Strategist of Nigeria Workforce Strategy and Enlightenment Centre
(NIWOSEC), Dr. David Kayode Ehindero who established Simongold
Foundation dedicated to him to take care of the aged people in his
community and Okun Land in general.
