Christians urged to pray for political leaders

Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo, Kwara State has  called on Christians to  pray for their leaders at all times.
In his sermon at the church yesterday, he said the nation is in need of  God’s intervention in its affairs for  development and peace to reign supreme.
He stressed that development can only take place in a society that is devoid of rancour, hence calling on believers to pray to God for the country to overcome its challenges.
Similarly, Christians have again been charged to use their talents positively to project and spread the gospel across the world.
A Cleric, Pastor Wale Ajayi gave the charge  on Sunday in his sermon delivered at the 35th anniversary of the Gospel Drama Ministry of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters.
Speaking on the Topic “Surely the Lord is in this place”, Pastor Ajayi implored them to be efficient and worship God wholeheartedly.
The Cleric called on Christians to study the Bible regularly and follow the Lord’s instructions.
He appealed to them to desist from sin and societal vices to be useful vessels for God.
In his message yesterday, Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C &S Movement Church, Ipetu-lgbomina  appealed to Nigerians to fear God in what they do and  shun acts that could tarnish their image.
Prophet Oladipo at  the service in preparation for a weeklong mid year revival programme with the theme “Strive to enter in the straight gate,” emphasised the need for the people to continue to be their brother’s keeper as whatever done on earth shall be accounted for in the hereafter.
Also in his message ahead of the 8th year anniversary of the Agbara Olorun lgbani wasibe lnternational Ministry, Gbagede with the theme: “Greatness,” Prophet Femi Emmanuel admonished Christians to always serve God with pure heart as He is the creator of the Universe and only Him can do what no man can do stressing that with Him there is no limitations as all power belong to Him alone.
Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi urged parents to be role models to their wards for the future generation to emulate.
In his message to usher in a 21-day annual programme with the theme “Let God arise”, the District Minister in charge of Kwara and Kogi States of the Gospel Apostolic Church, along upper pipeline road, Ilorin, Pastor Kehinde lkupolati charged Christians to adhere strictly to the teachings of the scriptures in their life.
