Football: Kwara stakeholders dialogue for way forward
Stakeholders in Kwara football industry met on Thursday to discuss the way forward for Football in the state.
Several issues raised at the gathering include the need to improve on human capital development, reviving Football activities across the 16 local governments, organise seminars for referees and coaches.
The chairman reiterated his commitment towards fulfilling his campaign promises while also declaring the inauguration of a bogus committee in order to carry every stakeholders along.
Mallam Busari Ishola, the immediate past chairman of Kwara FA applauded the board for the sponsorship deal feat recorded in Lagos on Wednesday and also advise the executives to put all stakeholders on board, which would go a long way in helping the board to achieve it’s objectives.
On his own part, Director of sports, coach Tunde kazeem promised to give all necessary support to the new administration while also calling on them to look into organising seminars and workshops for local coaches and referees.
He also employed the association to put a lot of effort in terms of restructuring facilities.
Also present at the meeting was the Nigeria coaches association, Kwara state branch, represented by Coach Bello Abubakar who urged the new board to revive football activities in the state.
The coach also commended the kit sponsorship deal and also pleaded with the administration to ensure Kwara coaches are well recognized at the national level.
The youth sports federation of Nigeria (YSFON) represented by Alhaja Sidikat Alao, stressed on the area of having a female league in the state which will also serve as an avenue to engage the youths.
Responding to the observations and request at the meeting, the FA chairman, Malam Idris Musa appreciated the contributions and issues raised by all individuals and organisations present at the event.
He promised to operate an open door policy while calling for total cooperation from the stakeholders.
