The day I can never forget in a hurry was when I handled a matter at the Federal High Court, Osogbo, Osun State. The matter was on fundamental human right instituted against one Dr. Folaranmi Akinosun who seized two travelling passports of my clients. I instituted the action on behalf of the two applicants.
They filed their response to our application out of time and we filed a reply to their response on the point of law.
Also, they filed another application which was against the rules that governs enforcement of fundamental rights, the application was contrary to the earlier reply to our application but at the end, we were able to get judgement. We got a compensation of N400,000 against the respondent. The court also gave them ultimatum of 7 days to release the passports, and failure to adhere to this was to attract N10,000 per day after the expiration of the 7 days ultimatum. I became so happy that the judgement ended in my favour.
