KWASAA calls for voluntary payment by public
As the second quarter of the 2019 fiscal year has ended the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency ( KWASAA) has called on the general public to voluntarily pay their signage due for the year.
According to a statement by the Press Secretary, Abubakar Owolabi, the Executive Secretary of the agency, Alhaji Uthman Yusuf Kana made the call while addressing management and staff of KWASAA in his office last week.
Kana, who also urged the staff and field officers to always do their job in accordance with the law establishing the agency, added that Kwara can only grow if everybody performs his or her job diligently.
The Secretary however called on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to come to the aid of the agency.
He said KWASAA unlike its compatriots in Lagos, Oyo and Ekiti among others, lacks tools and facilities for effective operation.
In their separate reaction, some of the employees of the agency appreciated Governor Abdulrazaq for his proactive action towards the transformation of the state even as they called for operational vehicles to ease their movement.
Speaking on behalf of the Consultant, Mr Ebulu Stephen promised to double their efforts in order to increase revenue generation from signage.
Stephen who commended the entire staff of KWASAA however charged them not to relent in their efforts saying that the revenue collection is a big task that needs courageous people.
