We need information on COZA scandal — Police confirm inviting Timi Dakolo, wife

The police have confirmed that it served official invitation letters on Timi Dakolo, singer-songwriter, and Busola Dakolo, his wife.
In a flurry of tweets on Sunday, the security outfit said the couple were invited for questioning in connection to the highly publicized “rape” case involving Biodun Fatoyinbo, founder of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
Fatoyinbo has been in the eye of the storm after Busola, a celebrity photographer, had alleged that the clergyman sexually defiled her when she was a teenager.
Although Fatoyinbo denied the allegation, the pastor stepped aside for the issue to be investigated.
In a letter dated July 18, from the special tactical squad of the inspector-general of police (IGP), the police said it was investigating a case of criminal conspiracy, mischief and threat to life.
The couple were directed to report on July 23 for an interview.
Shortly after the invitation, the gifted singer took to his Instagram page to declare that he would never allow the police to intimidate his wife, children or any member of his family.
“Our lawyers had told us to get ready for this letter. We have long been ready for this type of institutionalized intimidation and dirtiness,” he wrote.
“Investigating officials are frustrated as a result of underhand delay? Dirty bloggers are fabricating things that cover the truth, going to the IG’s people under dark to force this case to be posted to Abuja? Now this: a false investigation in Abuja when our own petition filed since June has not been answered and no invtation has been made to the accused in a rape case. Rubbishing the legal and criminal system.

…Punch columnist released after arrest ordeal
A columnist with Punch newspaper, Abimbola Adelakun, has been released after she was briefly held up for questioning by security men at the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) in Abuja.
Adelakun attended the church’s service this morning as she continued her research on the senior  pastor of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo, who is currently enmeshed in a rape scandal. However the church security men identified her as a journalist and took her to a holding room for questionning.
She had published a column at the back page of Punch newspapers on July 4th with the title “What Does Mrs. Fatoyinbo Know”. The article, which examined the rape allegations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, was illustrated with the cartoon of a man desecrating the bible with urine. The cartoon was greeted with backlash from readers, ultimately leading to the firing of the editor of the paper’s daily title, Martin Ayankola.
In a tweet she posted this afternoon, Adelakun said the security agents refused her demand to leave after identifying her. She disclosed that she has since reported the incident to a police station in Abuja.
