KWIRS debunks resignation of 5 directors

The Head of Corporate Affairs of Kwara Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), Mr. Temi Kolawole has debunked allegations that five directors of the revenue have turned in their resignation with the intention of exiting the service with the Executive Chairman, Prof. Muritala Awodun.
Awodun’s tenure is billed to end September 2019.
This is contained in a statement made available to Pilot Business on Tuesday.
“That information is misleading. Mr Segun Olaniyi has retired due to attaining the age of 60 in January with the expiration of a 6 month extension on July 15.
“However, the four other directors have given the Service notifications of expiration of their four year tenure, which will be due in September 2019.
The directors are; the Director of Administration and Operations, Mrs Adenike Babajamu, Director of MDAs, Mr Lekan Rotimi, Director of Corporate Affairs Alhaji Laide Nuhu Muhammad and Director of other revenues, Alhaja Iyabo Abubakar.
