Nigerian celebrity wedding proposals are special. Some left their fans completely wowed! Some left them wishing they were married. Some left them planning their own proposals.
1. Banky W and Adesua Etomi: Banky took all by surprise, even Adesua didn’t see it coming! Adesua was the lead character in the amazing hit song “Made For You” that lovaholics were drooling over, as they played the role of a couple who got engaged. Fast forward to real life, and one year after, Banky got down on one knee and popped the question.
2. Dr Sid and Simi Esiri: After planning a 7- day romantic getaway to various European cities – Rome, London, Paris and Venice, Dr Sid, in Venice, Italy went on one knee, and with a custom-cut diamond ring, he asked the love of his life, Simi, to marry him.
3. Peter Okoye and Lola Omotayo: Peter Okoye of the defunct P-Square wowed fans with his proposal in the summer of 2013. He went all out, as he proposed with a brand new Range Rover, a bouquet of flowers, a stunning diamond ring, and a cute hand written note. Lola Omotayo, couldn’t have said no. No way!
4. Tee Billz and Tiwa Savage: Tee Billz decided to keep it low key and cute. Tiwa’s 33rd birthday dinner took a pleasant turn as Tee Billz popped the question that day. Close friends such as, Banky W, the Mavin crew and some others witnessed the emotional moment. Praiz set the mood with his beautiful voice, by singing a happy birthday song, then Tee Billz got down on one knee, and asked Tiwa to marry him! Unfortunately, the marriage did not last.
5. Tuface and Annie Idibia: Tuface and Annie’s story is one that still makes people smile even after so many years. With all the baby-mama controversies that were going on at the time, it was such an ‘awww’ moment for both fans and Annie of course when Tuface proposed at the club. He had invited her friends and family and took her by surprise. She was definitely too shocked to say no. Who wouldn’t be! Theirs was definitely one of greatest Nigerian celebrity wedding proposals of all time.

Chris Attoh and Damilola Adegbite: Melanin king, Chris Attoh’s proposal story was shot “in the abroad.” After taking Tinsel star, Damilola Adegbite, family friends and well-wishers to New York, he went on one knee during a boat cruise in Manhattan, while holding out a dazzling diamond ring to Dami, asked her to marry him. She said yes! The marriage as hit the rock though.
7. JJC Skillz and Funke Akindele: “I’m a romantic person, so I gave her a dose of it” JJC Skillz is one of the low-key romantic ones. He took ‘Jenifa’ to a private place, and because just a few people knew about them then, they had just a few in the know. Funke came home to meet flowers, and candles everywhere. She never ‘hesperedit’!

8. Yomi Casual and Faith: Yomi Casual got down on one knee to Styl Plus’ old but gold song, ‘Olufunmi’ playing in the background.
And while Faith was dancing, his friend, Gbenro Ajibade handed him the ring. After he proposed, they broke down into tears, from the obvious emotions flying all over the place. “Sniff Sniff.”
