Remain faithful to God’s service

Christians, yesterday were urged to remain faithful in God’s service at all times.
The charge was given in a sermon titled, “Faithfulness in service” by Mrs Adejoke Oladipo of the Calvary Baptist Church, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The clergy reading through the book of II Colosians chapter 4 Vs 9-12, noted that God has deposited different kinds of gifts in individuals which must be judiciously used to the glory of God.
She said, “God is always faithful to bring whatever He promised to pass,” stressing that Christians should key into God’s infallible words.
The clergy further maintained that anyone who is committed to the works of God will enjoy divine peace that knows no bound.
According to her, doing the work of God guarantees a Christians eternity .
“There is a day of accountability, we should always remember and strive towards giving good account of what God has sent us to do.
“An individual has the grace to serve God with gift in him or her, we should serve humanity.
“We should check our lives, are we still faithful, committed to God’s works. We need to have a change of heart, we can always retrace our steps,” she stressed.

Christians have been charged to be committed to and faithful in the payment of their tithes to enjoy God’s abundant blessings.
A Cleric, Reverend Theo Bola Payimo gave the charge on Sunday in his sermon delivered at the thanksgiving service to round off the Youth Fellowship week of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters.
Speaking on the Topic “Contending for the faith”, Reverend Payimo urged them to stand firm in faith and imbibe good character, which will portray them as good followers of Jesus Christ.
The Cleric implored Christians not to fear or doubt the power of God to turn around unpalatable situations for good, reminding them that with Him all things are possible.
He appealed to believers to follow the teachings of God, advising them to be prayerful and steadfast in faith.
Meanwhile, the Primate of the Resolution Church of Christ, National Headquarters, off Coca Cola road, Ilorin, Martins Olobatoke has emphasised the need for Nigerians to believe in God alone as the only solution to their challenges.
Olobatoke who made this known in his message entitled “A Call to victory” in preparation for this week, stressed that God can do all things, urging people to always put their trust in Him.
