SAN charges Nigerians on adherence to rule of law

 

…as Rotary club installs new President in Ilorin

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Barr. Rafiu Adeyanju Lawal-Rabana has charged Nigerians on adherence to the rule of law as a way forward towards peace and harmony in the society.
He made the disclosure during the official investiture and installation of Rotarian Ayodeji Adeshina Olagunju as the sixth President of the Board of Directors at Princess Luxury hotel, Ilorin on Saturday.
Barr.  Lawal-Rabana who spoke on the topic; ‘Living by the rules’ stressed that all the atrocities in the country would have been avoided if citizens live by the rules of law in the heterogeneous society.
He said, “I choose to speak on living by the rules as it relates to our family, social life, and community lifestyle. You can imagine living in a society without rules, everything will be in disorder.
“Any home where there is no rules and regulations, you will be breeding miscreants that may end up terrorising the community.”
The legal luminary noted that institutions whether private or public are governed by sets of rules for smooth operations to achieve its desire targets.
The SAN emphasised that Rotary club has continued to operate within its framework of touching lives and infrastructural development.
In his remarks, the President of the Board, Rotarian Olagunju promised to work in accordance with the objectives of the organisation.
He said, “My mission statement is to keep the flag of Rotary International flying as our responsibility is to serve humanity and service above self.
Olagunju however called for donation from dignitaries at the event in order to impact on the less privileged in the society.
