Kwara Deputy Gov: I’ll not stop provoking youths until…

The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi has said he will not stop educating Nigerian youths to take their rightful place as the future leaders of the nation.
Alabi, stated this yesterday while speaking at the ‘Campus Focus’ a programme organised by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to sensitise students of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
The Deputy Governor who is known for his stance to change the mindset of the youth charged the students to discover who they are, have self belief and aspire to be great.
He urged them to focus on their study and shun social vices such as drugs, cultism and sexual harassment among others.
He implored youths to have vision and be determined to make Nigeria work just as he advised them to use their vote wisely and not to be frustrated.
The Deputy Governor charged them to use their power positively, participate in politics and everything would work well again.
He tasked them not to allow themselves to be used negatively by politician saying that the country is not destroyed with guns and cutlasses but through education.
“When you want to destroy a country, destroy its education system,” he said.
The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Dr Garba Abari represented by Mr Dayo Famoriyo charged the students to be of high moral value and do the needful at the right time charging them not to be over ambitious of material things.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Yekini Oyebode appreciated the Deputy Governor, NOA and other government agencies for enlightening the students to be responsible citizens imploring the latter to make positive use of the advice.
In his remarks, the state Director of NOA, Segun Adeyemi said the programme was packaged to eradicate vices among Students on the various campuses and to educate them on the need to be useful citizens.
