Alanamu PDP wants review of recruitment process for leaders

The youth wing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Alanamu Central has called on former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki to as a matter of urgency review the leadership recruitment in the ward.
The call was made weekend at their weekly meeting.
According to the youth, though they have lost the last general elections as a result of many factors, they cannot forge ahead without addressing some of the issues that led to their present situation.
They said what is happening in Alanamu is quite different from other wards across the state, adding that the party cannot afford to build something on nothing and expect any meaningful result.
Part of the communiqué of the meeting reads:
“The youth in Alanamu ward are using this medium to pledge their undiluted loyalty to both their irremovable leader, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the Saraki dynasty.
“We are in the same age bracket with thousands of youths that voted against us in the last general elections, we know them, they are our friends and families, we also know what they want but we don’t have access to you as our leader and 99% of our political officeholders. This alone cost us a great setback.
“This is the best time for you to lay a solid foundation for us and our party in Alanamu ward the way the late Dr. Olushola Saraki used to do by grooming Youth of intellectuals and political vibrancy to the position of leadership.
“In the past, the party structure in our ward didn’t get much recognition as they supposed to instead the political stakeholders are the ones being recognized and patronized. They singlehandedly nominated and eventually often got their anointed ones appointed. We were never carried along in our own affairs as many imposed on us had never been part of us which made them to comfortably operate non-inclusive government”.
