Eid-el Kabir: Muslims reminded on  acts of worship before celebration

The Imam  of   Adura Nigba mosque, Kuntu/Agbo-Oba area,   Ilorin, Kwara State, Ustaz  Jamiu Abdulwahed has tasked muslims on acts  of worship before the celebration.
He said faithfuls are expected to praise  Allah (Takbir Lah) three days before the celebration of Eid-el Kabir, adding that it is an  act that attracts  reward from Almighty Allah.
He made this known in his sermon (Kutuba)at the  Jum’aat service prayer before  the congregational two rakats prayer.
The Imam also urged   Muslims to recite Allahu Akbar (God is great) while going to the praying ground in such a way that it will not disturb other people.
” Both males and females  should praise Allah with their voice louder and female should lower their voice while reciting the takbir of Almighty Allah. Allah will reward any Muslim who engages in the act.” He added.
Abdulwaheed, a lecturer of Islamic studies, said  Muslims who have the opportunity to offer animal sacrifice as the act of Ibadat to do sadaqat with part of the meat.
The cleric condemned sharing of the meat killed for act of Ibadah among  people who also have the capability to kill too,  adding that Allah has tasked Muslims to give those who don’t have the money to kill as that will  attract reward from Allah.
” Give those who don’t have the privilege to participate in animal sacrificing during Eid-el Kabir not those who have the privilege to kill rams,”he added.
Abdulwaheed also advised believers to engaged in fasting  few hours before going to the  praying ground and break after the solat with the animal killed.
The cleric also urged all the Imams that will lead the prayers at their different communities to ensure that  their sermons are  based on current issues affecting “our country, state and community” .
He cautioned Muslims against reckless driving while going to praying ground.
“Don’t drive recklessly when going to praying ground. Those with motorcyclists, tricycles and cars should be careful while driving in the name of celebrating Sallah.
“Don’t kill yourselves through reckless driving or  claim another person’s life in the name of celebration.”
He further urged Muslims to dress neatly to  the prayimg ground, stressing that Allah loves those who are clean because He is the pure God.
