The long suffering people of Ayegbami community, off Sobi Specialist Hospital road, Alagbado, Ilorin now have cause to smile following the installation of a new power transformer in the area.
The installation of the transformer was undertaken by the constituency office of the president of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
The 300KVA transformer which was donated to the community by the immediate past administration in the state had been lying fallow since 2014 due to lack of funds for its installation.
But, succour came the way of the worried residents of Ayegbami early this year when Saraki’s constituency office intervened in the installation of transformers in some communities in Kwara central senatorial district.
The installation of the transformer had been completed and residents of Ayegbami now enjoy quality power supply.
The elated residents at their weekly Asalatu programme offered special prayers for the immediate past Senate President over his kind gesture.
They also acknowledged the roles of the Director General of the the ABS constituency office, Alh Musa Abdullahi, the director, Projects, Ibrahim Otukoko and a former media aide to Saraki, Alh Abdullahi Olesin who is also the Balogun Adini of Ayegbami in ensuring the installation of the transformer.
